FLEMT was formed in 2011 following the reunion of childhood friends Alessandro “Frank” Lapini and Michele Trillini, who had played together in various bands throughout their teens and twenties. After months of hard work, the band won a competition to open for Bon Jovi at the Stadio Friuli in Udine, performing in front of 40,000 people. The 13 original songs submitted for the competition later became their debut album, “The Time Has Come”.
The lineup was completed by vocalist Michele Casoni, born in 1996, who specializes in modern vocal techniques and vocal distortion, and drummer Archelao Macrilló, who studied at Boston University and has performed with artists including Marco Mendoza.
In 2016, FLEMT began working with US-based manager Gina Helms Whitt and Southern Girl Promotions, embarking on an international career focused particularly on the United States and Canada, where the band developed a strong fan base.
FLEMT has released music through The Orchard–Sony and Ingrooves Universal Music Group. Their notable singles include “Dream Girl” (2019) and “Don’t Stop Me” (2021).
Since their debut opening for Bon Jovi, FLEMT has toured the United States twice and performed across Europe with Atomic Rooster and Rowan Robertson, former guitarist of Ronnie James Dio. More recently, the band completed several European dates with former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson.
FLEMT features Michele Casoni on lead vocals, Michele Trillini on guitar and backing vocals, Alessandro Lapini on bass, and Archelao Macrilló on drums.
