Dino Fiorenza, born in Catania in 1972, began studying electric bass in 1990, quickly developing a highly personal and innovative technique. His musical training ranges from classical music to jazz, with a particular affinity for rock and progressive music, where his virtuosity and technical approach have made him stand out.
Throughout his career, he has worked with numerous internationally renowned artists and bands, including Maurizio Solieri, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, Jennifer Batten, Slash, Zakk Wylde, Yngwie Malmsteen, Billy Sheehan, Andy Timmons, Simon Phillips, Edu Falaschi and many others. He has toured extensively in Europe and the United States, recorded in major studios in Boston and Copenhagen, and performed at festivals, music expos and bass clinics in several countries.
He is also an established educator. After earning his teaching qualification at the Lizard Academy in Fiesole, he became the head of Bass to Rock in Sicily and collaborated with international platforms such as TrueFire and BassLessons.com. He has taught courses and masterclasses at numerous schools in Italy and abroad, focusing on advanced electric bass techniques.
In 2010, he released his first solo album, *It’s Important*, which received international recognition and was awarded Best Funk Metal Album of the Year in the United States. This was followed by several instructional methods, including *Fastguide*, *Tap Me Up* and *Manuale di Basso Percussivo*, as well as instructional DVDs and numerous recording projects.
As an author and contributor to specialist music magazines, Fiorenza continues to combine live performance, session work, recording and teaching, distinguished by his highly virtuosic technique, constant musical research and extensive international activity.
